This month’s lecture features Richard Middleton-Kaplan on Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. in the East Benton County Historical Society and Museum. The presentation is titled “Humanity in Print: Literature and Human Rights.”
The Esvelt Gallery features “Space, Place & Landscape,” an exhibit by photographer Zach Mazur. There will be a talk and reception on the 17th at 3 p.m. in the gallery. Mazur’s work addresses social and environmental themes, exploring critical concepts within natural and urban environments as both a professional artist and a photojournalist.
Our Theatre Department will offer “Toil and Trouble,” a black comedy by Lauren Gunderson, Nov. 17-19 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students and are available online at columbiabasin.tix.com.
Music is back! We start with the Columbia Basin Concert Band performing on Nov. 22 in the Southridge High Auditorium. Enjoy the CBC Orchestra and Choir in concert on Nov. 29, and the Fall Jazz Concert on Dec. 1, both at 7 p.m. in the CBC Theatre. All concerts are open to the public and free of charge.
