Clover Island Celebrates Two Decades of Live Concerts

Emerald Spark Events is bringing fresh energy into the Tri-Cities music scene. Founded by Dara Quinn and Alicia Cullison, the company offers comprehensive event services including management, talent booking, venue sourcing, consulting and specialty marketing.

One of their first major projects is taking over management of the 20-year-old Clover Island music events, including the Summer Concert Series and Thunder on the Island. These popular programs will bring live outdoor performances to the waterfront every week from May through August.

The 2025 schedule has been finalized and tickets are now available. The season kicks off with Fastlane – Celebrating the Eagles on Sunday, May 25. Fastlane delivers an engaging performance that appeals to audiences across generations, offering an immersive journey through the Eagles’ iconic catalog.

This opening concert sets the tone for an eclectic summer lineup featuring Grammy-nominated (and TikTok famous) hip-hop group Nappy Roots on June 8, swing/ska pioneers Cherry Poppin’ Daddies on July 6 and Latin sensation 512: the Selena Experience on August 17.

Other highlights include tributes to Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Green Day and the Allman Brothers. Two awesome country acts are making an appearance: Tylor and the Trainrobbers and Cody Beebe and the Crooks, along with local favorite Payton Drury. Also in the lineup are Metal-Mariachi band Metalachi and regional favorites Blue Tattoo, Englewood Heights, Groove Principal, Colorblind, Dr. Rock and the Sturgeons, and Stompin’ Ground.

“Port of Kennewick’s new stage and this year’s expanded programming reflect the community’s enthusiasm for live music on the waterfront,” said Cullison.

This marks the first year the Clover Island music series will not be produced by the Clover Island Inn. Concessions will be provided by Quinn’s Emerald of Siam Thai restaurant, featuring a full bar, classic American fare, and unique Thai-inspired options.

The series takes place on Clover Island’s waterfront and features two distinct programs: ticketed Sunday performances by national touring acts and free Wednesday-evening concerts called Thunder on the Island, showcasing regional talent. The free Wednesday shows are made possible through partnerships with Clover Island Inn and Port of Kennewick, and generous sponsors including Musician’s Launchpad, Minuteman Press of Kennewick and Paradise Water.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Coming up soon, Emerald Spark Events will present L.A.Vation, a world-renowned U2 tribute band, for a special St. Patrick’s Day performance. The 21-and-over show will take place on Sunday, March 16, at 7 p.m. at the Uptown Theater in Richland.

L.A.Vation has built an international reputation for delivering an authentic U2 concert experience, meticulously recreating the iconic band’s live performances with faithful attention to musical detail and memorable stage elements.

Another exciting Emerald Spark production is Fusion Fest, scheduled for June 9-14 in Richland. Wristband holders will enjoy special performances, experiences, discounts and perks at participating local venues and businesses throughout the week.
