Columbia River Gorge Invites Art Lovers

The Gorge Artists Open Studios Tour, now in its 18th year, features 45 local artists’ studios showcasing diverse artwork from painting to ceramics, jewelry, textiles, woodworking, photography, metalwork, glass art, basketry, quilting, sculpture and more.

This annual tour invites you to meet artists in their studio spaces — to experience their work, craft, process, and inspiration. It’s a free, self-guided tour of individual artists’ studios and workspaces throughout the Columbia River Gorge region.

Featured studios are dotted on the map in four counties — Skamania and Klickitat Counties in Washington, and Hood River and Wasco Counties in Oregon. Take advantage of the three days, April 26 to 28, to visit as many studios as you can. Or, if you have limited time, drop in to a select few of the new or favorite studios linked by a stunning drive through this scenic environment.

Visiting from out of town? April is blossom time, so even the ride between studios is a dream. Experience the natural beauty of the Columbia River Gorge while enjoying fantastic local food, wineries, outdoor recreation, shopping, and a great selection of boutique hotels and bed-and-breakfast locations.
