The Little Theatre of Walla Walla has announced its 2024-25 season, “Spotlighting 80 Years.” The opening play will be The Play That Goes Wrong, a wonderful comedy in which. . .well, you can guess from the title. It’s being directed by Kay Fenimore-Smith and George Smith, and sponsored by the Kinsman Foundation.
In The Play That Goes Wrong, it’s opening night of the Cornley Drama Society’s newest production, the 1920s-era whodunit The Murder at Haversham Manor. But, with an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead and actors who trip over everything including their lines, things quickly go from bad to disastrous. Nevertheless, the accident-prone actors battle to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences!
The cast includes Bill Gilbert as the Inspector, Lola Bloom as Sandra, Greg Wilmarth as Thomas, Will Calhoun as both Cecil and Arthur, Eileen Settle as Annie, Micah Aguilar as Trevor, Michael Kooy as Charles and Noble McCredy as Perkins.
Evening performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 25 and 26 and Nov. 1, 2, 8 and 9. Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. on Nov. 3 and 10. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students, and can be purchased online at ltww.org.
