International Guitar Night is Coming to Walla Walla

Gesa Power House Theatre in Walla Walla will welcome the 25th Anniversary North American Tour of International Guitar Night on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 7 p.m. This show will feature Germany’s Lulo Reinhardt, Britain’s Alexandra Whittingham, Democratic Republic of The Congo’s Niwel Tsumbu, and Germany’s Sönke Meinen.

International Guitar Night is the world’s premier touring guitar festival, each show bringing together the most interesting and innovative acoustic guitarists. For each tour, founder Brian Gore assembles a new cast of guitar luminaries for special evenings of solos, duets and quartets that highlight the dexterity and diversity of acoustic guitar music.

Lulo Reinhardt is a guitar virtuoso celebrated for his Latin swing style deeply rooted in the traditions of the Sinti people, a subgroup of the Roma community. Alexandra Whittingham is a prodigious British classical guitarist and composer with a massive online following. Niwel Tsumbu is a Congolese-born guitarist and singer based in Ireland. He defies musical boundaries with a fusion of jazz, classical, rock and African rhythms. Sönke Meinen is an acclaimed guitarist, composer and storyteller who blends folk, classical, pop and jazz influences.

Reserved seating tickets start at $45 and can be purchased online or by calling the box office at (509) 529-6500. Visit phtww.org.
