For 112 years, Morrow County has held one of the best small-town fairs in Oregon, along with the Oregon Trail Pro Rodeo. This year, it’ll run from Aug. 13 through 16 at the county fairgrounds in Heppner, Ore.
The 2025 theme for this old-fashioned county fair is “Back in our Roots in Cowboy Boots.” Thanks to generous sponsors and the Fair Board, admission is free. Several local businesses support the fair, including Lamb Weston, Watt Construction, Amazon and other organizations.
Fun activities each day include browsing the exhibits, observing the animals, and kids’ attractions. Kettle corn, lemonade and a variety of other delicious foods will be available. The variety of events include 4-H and FFA exhibits, livestock shows, a carnival, music, entertainment and rodeo action.
Rodeo action will happen Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 7 p.m. On Saturday, the parade in Heppner’s downtown area will start at 10 a.m. A significant part of the fair will be a Rodeo Queen competition, featuring women ages 14 to 19 and hosted by this year’s Rodeo Queen KC Anderson.
Heppner is just over an hour’s drive from the Tri-Cities via I-82 and Oregon Route 207. For schedules, entry forms and information, visit co.morrow.or.us/fair.
