Oregon’s Morrow County Fair is Free for Everyone

For 111 years, Morrow County has held one of the best small-town fairs in Oregon, along with the Oregon Trail Pro Rodeo. This year, it’ll run Aug. 14-17 at the fairgrounds in Heppner.

The 2024 theme is “Admiration for Generations.” Thanks to generous sponsors and the Fair Board, admission is free. And there are new prizes for open-class exhibits.

Fun activities each day include browsing the exhibits, observing the animals, and kids’ attractions. Kettle corn, lemonade and a variety of other delicious foods will be available.

On Wednesday at 3 p.m., enjoy the Pedal Power tractor pull followed by Dr. Jon, who will perform his Comedy Hypnotist Show Wednesday through Friday afternoons.

On Wednesday night at 7, the Lenn Greer dinner will include live music by Michelle Lambert, and she’ll also perform live at an Ice Cream Social on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Caitlyn Ochner will entertain on the fair’s Main Stage Thursday through Saturday.

Rodeo action will happen Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 7 p.m. On Saturday, the parade in the downtown area will start at 10 a.m.

Heppner is just over an hour’s drive from the Tri-Cities via I-82 and Oregon Route 207. For schedules, entry forms and information, visit co.morrow.or.us/fair.
