- August 30, 2024
The 2024 PRCA Rodeo in Othello is preparing to celebrate 75 years of tradition and hometown spirit on Sept. 13 and 14.
This year’s events start with the Demolition Derby on Wednesday, Sept. 11, with time trials beginning at 5:30 p.m. Bring your family and friends for the excitement as some of the best crash specialists give you a spectacular show.
On both Friday and Saturday, the rodeo action begins at 8 p.m. with the Grand Entry and the famous Wild Cow Ride. The rodeo events include bareback riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, team roping, tie-down roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing and bull riding. The stock contractors, Flying 5 and Big Bend Rodeo Companies, will bring their “born to buck” champion stock to challenge the contestants.
Steve Kenyon, the announcer with more than 30 years of experience, brings depth and color to the rodeo. Felix Santana and his dancing horse will thrill you with a special performance.
Once again, rodeo clown and crowd favorite JJ Harrison will be performing in the arena. JJ always keeps his audiences laughing and the contestants safe. Bullfighters Dangerous Danny Newman and Miles Barry will put themselves between the bulls and the cowboys.
