Othello Fair Offers Food, Fun and More
- September 8, 2023
This year’s theme for the Othello Fair — “Small Town Fair with a Tractor Flair” — celebrates the farming community of the Columbia Basin. For four days, Sept. 13-16, you can check out tractors on display, farm animals, homegrown crops, a variety of entertainment acts and a Kid Zone.
Wednesday will kick off the week with the third annual Hometown Heros Chili Cookoff. Sample the varieties of chili and watch the local first-responder heroes battle it out for the trophy and bragging rights.
Thursday evening will feature a hay-bucking contest for anyone who is tough enough to battle for the $1,000 prize. Friday will be the very popular Draft Horse Pull. And Saturday brings the Cowboy Mounted Shooters at 9 a.m. and the livestock sale at 11.
Check out the exhibit building, sample the food vendors’ wares, walk among the commercial booths, and enjoy some live local entertainment on the Columbia Basin Health Association stage. There will also be carnival rides by Davis Shows Northwest and games for the whole family to enjoy.
Othello is 40 miles north of the Tri-Cities and 27 miles South of Moses Lake where Highways 17 and 26 intersect. For more information, visit othellofair.org or the event page on Facebook.
