RadCon 9A is coming! Whether you’re a 30-year veteran of the event or a newbie, you’ll love this annual science-fiction convention. It’ll be held at the Pasco Red Lion on Presidents Day weekend, Feb. 14-16. With a gaming room, a dealers’ annex, an art show, cosplay, many educational sessions and even fire wielders performing in the courtyard, this year’s RadCon will be spectacular!
In its 30-year history, the convention has grown to more than 1,400 attendees annually. And it keeps getting better, with renowned guests and professionals who cater to all genres of the sci-fi, fantasy and fiction communities. The event is organized by the RadCon Guild, an all-volunteer organization dedicated to promoting art, literature, science, gaming and imagination.
To plan your RadCon experience, visit radcon.org for information, including a program schedule to be posted soon. Check out the student contests for art and writing. Winning artists and writers will take away prizes and their work will be featured in next year’s program book. These contests are available to students in high school or homeschooled students at high-school level.
You can register online at radcon.org, and early registration (before Feb. 2) is just $45, a $5 savings. Children ages 12 and under are admitted free if accompanied by an adult.
