Ski Bluewood Is ‘Better Than You Think’

Transformed yet timeless, Ski Bluewood continues to honor its heritage as a place where families and friends come together to get outside, ski in the beautiful Blue Mountains, and forge memories to last a lifetime. With continuous facility improvements, an upgraded food menu, a new fleet of rental skis, snowmobile tours and its world-class tree skiing, Bluewood is definitely “better than you think.”

Perched high atop the Blue Mountains near Dayton, just 54 miles from Walla Walla and 80 miles from the Tri-Cities, the mountain has the second-highest base elevation in the state. It has possibly the best powder snow as well, totaling more than 300 inches annually. The mountain offers 24 trails, no lift-line hassles and a family-friendly staff.

Bluewood also has a full-service day lodge with food service, a coffee bar, pub, retail shop, rental and repair facilities and a top-notch learning center.

For the first time, Bluewood is now offering a two-hour snowmobile tour through the Umatilla National Forest on brand-new Polaris snowmobiles, led by seasoned guides.

Regular hours are new this year — Thursday through Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bonus powder days may be offered on Wednesdays, to be announced online on Sunday or Monday. For complete information, visit
