Tickets are on sale now for the concert lineup at the Umatilla County Fair.
The fair, with the theme “Moo-ving Forward Together!”, runs from Aug. 10 through 13 at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center, 1705 E. Airport Road in Hermiston. The kick-off parade will be held on Aug. 6 starting at 6:30 p.m. on SW 7th Street.
Bleacher seating for all concerts is free with the price of your fair admission except for Latino Night on Friday. On opening day, Aug. 10, every seat is free with your admission.
New this year is the Grand Champion Club Party Pit, an exclusive zone next to the reserved seating with its own bar, dancing area and other amenities. The pit is open to groups of four for the Thursday and Saturday concerts. Space is limited, so get your group together and purchase tickets at umatillacounty.net.
Performing on the opening Wednesday, Aug. 20, is Petty Fever, a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute band. This award-winning, full-production tribute to the Rock Hall of Fame musician features captivating guitarist and vocalist Frank Murray, who was a Hollywood FAME Award winner.
All-vocal country entertainers Home Free will perform on Thursday. The group has made its mark on the music scene, racking up nearly 600,000 album equivalents globally, touring internationally, amassing millions of views and subscribers on YouTube, and being named “country music fans’ favorite a cappella group” by tasteofcountry.com. They sing harmony-laden versions of hits by John Mayer, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Maren Morris, the Oak Ridge Boys and others.
Latino Night is Friday, with drink specials and a musical showcase of four or more big-name entertainers of the Latin genre. Never before has this area seen such a spectacular combination of concerts in one night! Latino Night tickets can be purchased on the fair’s website or at Velasco Used Car Sales at 80596 US-395 in Hermiston.
Closing out the fair’s big-name entertainment on Saturday, Aug. 13, is Ryan Hurd. “Chasing After You,” his first duet with wife Maren Morris, became country radio’s most-added song in its impact week in March. His co-writer credits include some of country music’s biggest hits by Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, and his top-20 single, “To A T,” has been platinum-certified.
The Umatilla County Youth Livestock Auction at the fair is on Aug. 13 at 10 a.m. And don’t miss the market animal Grand Champion Drive on Aug. 11 at 6 p.m.
