Try Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort this Ski Season

You may be familiar with Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort (ALMR), a small, nonprofit ski area located in the Elkhorn Range of Oregon’s Blue Mountains. But perhaps you’re new to skiing or snowboarding, or new to exploring smaller ski areas around the Northwest. With just under 1,000 vertical feet, Anthony Lakes is small but mighty. With a base elevation of 7,100 feet, Anthony Lakes boasts some of the best powder snow in the region.

Combined with its excellent powder snow, Anthony Lakes is a quaint, downhome and family-friendly ski area. And as a nonprofit, ALMR continues to reinvest in its infrastructure and its people, always giving back to the communities that support it. While other ski areas might get caught up in trendy activities, Anthony Lakes continues to simply focus on skiing and riding.

With an emphasis on kids and family, Anthony Lakes is excited to offer the Save Our Sanity (SOS) ticket. Created with young families in mind, the SOS ticket can be used alternatively by one parent at a time. Now, both parents can enjoy the snow and save on one-day tickets!

SOS is for families with non-skiing infants and toddlers aged 3 and under. The couple is provided with two one-day tickets for $70, but only one parent can ski or ride at any one time while the other parent is watching the child. The offer is limited to one SOS ticket per family.

Thirty Dollar Thursdays are back again this season! ALMR is open Thursdays through Sundays, so take advantage of Thursday tickets at just $30, a $20 savings. You can also opt for an after-1 p.m. half-day ticket, and lift tickets are always free for kids 6 and under and seniors 70 and over.

Anthony Lakes has a jam-packed live music schedule this season, so be sure to visit anthonylakes.com for a complete list. If you’re looking for the ski area on social media, you won’t find it. ALMR opted out of social media almost four years ago and has since launched the Gunsight (un)Social Feed. Located on the website’s homepage, the Gunsight (un)Social is where you can find the latest information and news. You can sign up to receive posted notifications or simply check them at your leisure.

Anthony Lakes’ annual Taste of Nordic event will be on Sunday, March 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Local food and beverage vendors will be set up throughout the cross-country trails, offering a taste of delicious eats and drinks. This family-friendly event is one won’t want to miss!

Then, extend your stay for the annual Anthony Lakes Spring Break Camp for kids (March 24-28). Kids receive five days of skiing and riding for just $250. The program includes a lift ticket, lessons and rentals each day, all for just $50 per day.
