Two Fun Festivals Set for Sept. 14 and Oct. 5
- August 30, 2024
The Pasco Chamber of Commerce is hosting two admission-free events for those who love outdoor fun and entertainment.
First, the annual Crawfest is back with an authentic crawfish and shrimp boil on Sept. 14. Then, on Oct. 5, the Chamber of Commerce brings you the annual Riverfest, celebrating the benefits of our rivers.
Crawfest
Whether you call them crawfish, crayfish, or crawdads may depend on where you’re from, but they’re a delightful treat. The Pasco Chamber is teaming up with Jack-Sons Crawfish Boils to bring the authentic taste of Louisiana to Pasco’s Osprey Pointe on the Columbia River from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
There’ll be vendors and food trucks, beer and wine, a crawfish-eating contest and live music by the Desert Moondogs, BluMeadows, and the Coyote Kings. You can pre-order your tray of boiled crawfish, shrimp, or both, plus baby potatoes, corn and sausage. Order forms are available online at pascochamber.org. Trays can be purchased at the event while supplies last, but pre-ordering will guarantee availability.
RiverFest
With the theme “Our Rivers, Our Life,” the Pasco Chamber of Commerce has joined other businesses and community organizations to host RiverFest 2024 on Oct 5 from
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Columbia Park in Kennewick.
RiverFest is an annual event that is fun and educational for families. It features exhibitors, vendors and entertainment to showcase all the benefits of the Federal Columbia River Power System and highlight the importance of the four lower Snake River dams.
Vendor booths will include businesses, wildlife organizations, ports, utilities, nonprofits, and more. Many exhibits related to navigation, irrigation, recreation and power are interactive, and people of all ages will find something fun to do and learn about.
If you would like to participate in RiverFest as an educational exhibitor or vendor, forms are available online. The deadline for vendors to sign up is Sept. 11. Visit riverfestwa.com for more information.
