Union Gap Offers a Great Father’s Day Weekend

Experience an unforgettable Father’s Day weekend at Union Gap’s Old Town Days & Civil War Reenactment on June 15 and 16. Witness live reenactments with authentic cannons and immerse yourself in history at educational stations throughout the soldier and civilian camps. More than 400 reenactors guarantee an extraordinary event.

Kickstart the weekend with the 3rd Annual Father’s Day 3.2k run at the scenic Central Washington Ag Museum on Saturday morning. It will take you through the picturesque Fullbright Park and the 15-acre museum. After the race, treat yourself to a hot pancake breakfast prepared by the Union Gap Police Department from 6 to 10 a.m.

Throughout the weekend, the free event will feature several captivating museum demonstrations, including the sawmill, vintage apple packing line, blacksmith shop, and the Old Letterpress Museum. Visitors will also enjoy complimentary tram rides, kiddie train rides, and more. For young adventurers, a thrilling scavenger hunt will lead them through the camps, with small prizes awaiting those who complete the hunt. And indulge your taste buds with a diverse array of food vendors.
