A Wee Bit O’ Ireland in Heppner, Oregon

Heppner Oregon has turned its Irish heritage into an annual weekend tradition called “Wee Bit O’ Ireland.” This year, it will be held on the weekend of March 17, 18 and 19.
Since 1980, The Heppner Chamber of Commerce has organized the annual celebration, which has continued to be one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day festivals in the Pacific Northwest.
In 2023, the tradition continues with favorite events such as the Cruz-in Car Show, the Big Green Parade, live Irish entertainment and games, Murray’s annual Beer and Wine Tasting, artisan markets, and much more. You can participate in the “Welly Toss” (throwing a Wellington boot for distance) and play games to support various fundraisers.
New events this year include the inaugural Chili Cook-off, hosted by Faded Joes Barbershop, St. Paddy’s Trivia Night with Heppner Daycare, and Kid’s Crafts & Bouncin’ Bins, hosted by Sage Garden Preschool.
From Interstate 84 East, take exit 182 onto Oregon Route 207. Go south on 207 to Lexington and turn left on Main Street (Oregon 74). Follow OR-74 to Heppner.
