Fort Walla Walla Museum will be hosting our monthly After-Hours program August 29th at 5 p.m. with our own Executive Director, James Payne leading a presentation on Sabers of the
U.S. Cavalry. He will provide sharp, piercing insight into the sabers used from the Revolutionary War to modern times. Illustrations and examples will be shown. This presentation will be building off the research James Payne has conducted on the US Military, documented in his short, written collection: Some Notes on United States Cavalry Sabers, a brief look at the rich history of Swords in US Military outfits.
As a reminder, the Museum After-Hours program is an admission-free presentation, where we invite all members of our community to engage with the regional history and culture of the Walla Walla Valley.
