Annual Tri-Cities Quilt Show
March 24 @ 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
$10
Tri-Cities Quilters’ Guild quilt-show chairwoman Dee Leigey was letting her imagination soar when she chose the theme “Take Flight” for the 2023 quilt show. It will fill the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick on March 24 and 25, from 10 to 6 on Friday and 10 to 5 on Saturday. The $10 admission is good for both days.
The main ballroom will be filled with quilts by guild members and friends. Placement in the hall is reserved for the featured artists.
Guest Artist Susan Smith, a longarm expert from Spokane, will exhibit quilts finished with free-motion stitching. Member Artist Louise Peterson, selected by guild members, has consistently chosen complicated projects that turn out beautifully.
Merchant booths will line the lobby and fill the smaller meeting rooms. The guild’s “Round Tuit Room” will feature bargain supplies. The play on words, based on an old poem, means that, if a member just didn’t get “around to it” on a planned project, a guest will. This year, a “Guild Market” booth will also be selling new and gently used quilts made by members.
The drawing for the raffle quilt, “Sew Many Strips,” will be at 4:30 p.m. on the second day of the show.
