The Little Theatre of Walla Walla will present a special performance of “Magic Beans,” a musical, theatrical, magical and beanical experience for kids and families, on Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 23 at 2 and 7 p.m.
Featuring the eclectic music and characters of Eric Herman and the Puppy Dogs band, plus the acrobatic hula-hooping of Ellensburg’s Hillia Hula, “Magic Beans” also includes eye-popping video projections and interlude scenes that range from the humorous to the existential.
Eric Herman is a salty and savory artist and musician dude who creates highly original songs, shows and videos intended for human kids and their families — but dogs, trees, and extraterrestrials seem to like them too.

“We are asking the question of what it means to exist,” says Herman. “And answering that question in some really fun ways, with music and comedy and visuals.” He recommends the show for ages 4 to 99, joking that it’s “not recommended for 100-plus.”
