Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of art at the 42nd Wallowa Valley Arts Festival, happening Sept. 20–22 in the charming town of Joseph, Ore. This annual event, hosted by the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture, is the crown jewel of the “Season of Art” and promises an unforgettable experience for art lovers and creators alike.
The festival kicks off with an exclusive opening reception on Sept. 20 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Josephy Center. This ticketed event offers a first look at the Fine Art and En Plein Air exhibits, with the esteemed Karen Bakke as this year’s judge. Enjoy live music and delicious food and beverages while you explore stunning artworks and participate in a silent auction.
On Sept. 21 from 1 to 4 p.m., don’t miss the Afternoon of the Quick Draw at the Mt. Joseph Lodge garden. Watch artists create masterpieces inspired by the beautiful surroundings while local musicians set the tone with live performances.
The Josephy Center will be open throughout the weekend for access to the exhibits. The silent auction concludes on Sept. 22 at 1:30 p.m., but the exhibit continues until Oct. 3.
