Power House Theatre Celebrating 12 Years

Marking its 12-year anniversary, the Gesa Power House Theatre in Walla Walla will feature the Paperboys on May 19 and Tango Del Cielo on May 20 in a weekend of festivities.

On Friday, May 19, at 7 p.m., folk rock band the Paperboys will perform songs from their award-winning discography. Best known for their fiery live shows, the Paperboys have been making music for more than 30 years, and they bring the full weight of their musical expertise to their performances. In a single set, the audience can count on stomping through Celtic reels, traditional Mexican folk, fiddle tunes, New Orleans brass-band music, classic pop, bluegrass, and even a waltz or two before bringing it all home with a Latino-West African singalong.

On Saturday, May 20, at 7 p.m., Tango del Cielo will light up the stage with dance, music, and more. Tango Del Cielo is a unique theatrical music and dance program by award-winning musicians and dancers, featuring a fusion of Latin styles including Tango, Flamenco, Spanish Classical and Latin jazz. This concert pays homage to the era of silent films and is especially captivating, incorporating multimedia use of film art, staging, lighting and effects.
