Richland Players Announce Upcoming Shows
This month, the Richland Players will present “These Shining Lives”, with evening performances on May 6, 7, 13 and 14 at 7:30 p.m. and matinees on May 1, 8 and 15 at 2 p.m. The play tells the story of the “radium girls” who worked in an Illinois watch factory.
The Players will close the season with the Neil Simon comedic fable “Fools”. It takes place in the remote Ukrainian village of Kulyenchikov, which has been cursed with stupidity. Teacher Leon Tolchinsky arrives to tutor Sophia, but has only a short time to educate her and break the curse. “Fools” will be performed on June 24 and 25 and July 1, 2, 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. Matinees will be offered on June 26, July 3 and July 10 at 2 p.m.
The Players have also announced their 2022-2023 productions, including “Doublewide”, “Texas” in September, “Nightfall With Edgar Alan Poe” in November, “Other Desert Cities” in January, “Dead Man’s Cell Phone” in March and “Clue On Stage” in May.
