What Do God and Church Mean to You?

“Finding where God is seen and felt — what’s church got to do with it?” is a talk by practitioner of Christian Science healing and international speaker, Emra Farkas. The talk will focus on universal healing precepts found in the Holy Bible, especially in Christ Jesus’ life and teachings, showing how they’re available for anyone to understand and experience through the lens of Christian Science.

The talk is free, open to the community, and hosted by the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Pasco on Thursday, May 9, at 7 p.m. at the Richland Community Center, 800 Amon Park Drive.

“A new kind of thinking is needed to recognize that God’s goodness and love are actually here and tangible to all humanity everywhere,” said Ms. Farkas. “The idea of ‘church’ can shift from being a physical building to that of being what God builds in our lives every moment, through us responding to Christ Jesus’ message of God’s all-powerful love.”

Sharing examples of healing from her own life, Ms. Farkas will explain why Christian Science is both Christian and scientific, as fully described in the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, written by the founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy.
