Union Gap offers a month of spooky fun!

When you’re ready to celebrate all things related to Halloween, it doesn’t get any spookier than it does in Union Gap, near Yakima. The town’s Haunted October has grown into a community-wide tradition, filling the entire month with frightening fun and family activities.

It all began with two of the region’s biggest attractions — Madd Hatter’s Haunt, one of central Washington’s largest haunted houses, and the Union Gap Corn Maze, among the biggest in the state. Over the years, Haunted October has expanded into a full slate of events that now draw visitors from across the Yakima Valley.

At Skateland Union Gap, families enjoy themed skate nights, and the Union Gap Police Department hosts a spooky two-mile fun run. The Central Washington Ag Museum presents its 10th Annual Agri-Copia, celebrating the area’s rich agricultural heritage. And film fans can head to the Majestic Theatre for its Haunted Movie Fest, showcasing classic horror favorites at discounted prices. Meanwhile, the Valley Mall gets in on the fun with Trunk-or-Treat and its spirited Witches Night Out fundraiser.

Add in the popular Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt and the brand-new Spooky Art Contest, and you’ve got a Halloween season like no other.
