The Little Theatre of Walla Walla will present the opening show of its 2025-26 season, Shrek the Musical, in October and November. The show is co-directed by Stacie Trego and Sarah Thomson, with Thomson also serving as music director. Choreography is by Breann del Castillo.
Once upon a time there was a little ogre and unlikely hero named Shrek, who finds himself on a life-changing journey along with a wisecracking donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and more than a dozen other fairy-tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for heroism.
The Walla Walla cast includes Devin Greenup as Shrek, Jordan Calhoun as Fiona, Francisco Riuz as Donkey and Jacob Mayes as Farquaad, plus an ensemble of 33 talented actors. There will be fantastic set changes, fairytale characters and a wonderful dragon.
Evening performances will be on Oct. 24 and 25 and Nov. 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15 at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. on Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, 9 and 16. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for veterans and seniors, and $15 for students. They can be purchased online at ltww.org.
