Season Begins for Excursion Train in Elgin, Oregon

Oregon’s Eagle Cap Excursion Train offers a beautiful way to celebrate mothers and the spring season with the traditional Mother’s Day Brunch on May 12. A delicious meal, catered by Ten Depot Street of La Grande, is served during the ride. The train follows the banks of the Grande Ronde River to Rondowa, where it’s joined by the Wallowa River.
The 2024 schedule offers 23 rides from May through October 22, starting at the depot in Elgin. They include a Bigfoot excursion and two train-robbery trips featuring bandits on horseback.
